The Placement Officer is a full-time position responsible for the administration of evaluation, qualification, waiting lists and placement of clients in TDHF Senior & Community Housing & related programs.

The qualified candidate must have the following:

  • Related experience and/or training in social services or credit granting
  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 education
  • Experience in dealing with Rental Properties would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate confidence in composing correspondence

Technical Skills:

  • Must be able to maintain high level of accuracy, detailed and quality of work
  • Must have experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and other technology tools

Taber & District Housing Foundation is looking for individuals to join the team at our Clearview Lodge location.  Our employees are responsible for assisting seniors in maintaining independence within a Lodge setting. Taber and District Housing Foundation is a non-profit organization providing individuals, families and seniors with affordable and caring accommodation.

 

The successful candidate will join the Health Care Aide team to assist 77 senior citizens maintain wellness and independence within a Lodge setting.

How to Apply

Taber & District Housing Foundation uses word of mouth, newspaper advertising, the internet, and university and college postings to announce job openings.

Application forms are available at both the Clearview Lodge and the TDHF office, or click to download the Application for TDHF Employment. Applicants must fill out an application form, attach a resume and cover letter. The hiring process includes an interview, reference checks, and employees must have a clear criminal record.

When interviews are scheduled, applicants should arrive early and bring at least three work-related references, including at least one reference from their last place of employment.

A team of two staff members will conduct the interview. Three reference checks will be made and a criminal record check will be performed prior to hiring. Reference checks are generally conducted within one week of the interview. If references cannot be contacted, applicants may be asked to provide additional references.

A typical interview takes 30 to 60 minutes and the orientation takes one to three hours.
